Lush woods, a Jeep fit for outrunning dinosaurs, and an adventurous bride and groom. It’s hard to believe this Jurassic Park Elopement took place in Michigan and isn’t in Jurassic Park itself.
Is that the sound of a T-rex in the distance? This session will transport us back to my personal favorite movie, in this Jurassic Park Elopement.
We’ve all seen the Dino-mite wedding photos of the bride and groom running away from a T-rex. Or my personal favorite the brides T-rex first look. But what if Jurassic Park was an ACTUAL wedding destination?! Like jump on a plane and take me!
Who hasn’t dreamed of going to Jurassic Park while watching the movies? Endless jungle and adventure around every corner, it’s easy to get lost dreaming about what it would be like to be there. Not to mention taking a ride in the Jurassic Park Jeeps!
I had one goal in mind: To bring to life this timeless movie and create an Elopement Inspired by Jurassic Park to help couples who want to step outside the box, see new ways they can incorporate some of their favorite fandoms into their intimate day all about them.
In Michigan’s thick woods, a small sandy opening was transformed into a Jurassic Park haven for two. It was the perfect intimate hideaway for an Elopement, with a bouquet that gives us vibes of lush jungles in Hawaii to off-road rides in a replica jeep.
This Jurassic Park Elopement was created in the hopes of inspiring couples to dream big and incorporate the little joys in life when planning their perfect wedding day. I want to give couples the space to be exactly who they are every step along the way.
We styled the bride and grooms outfits around Dr.Grant + Ellie from Jurassic Park. I wanted to bring together pieces from the movie without taking away from the couples individual styles. So we pulled together a hat to resemble Dr.Grant and a red handkerchief. I love to encourage brides to find ways to reuse and recreate a piece to make it one of a kind. So when I came across this Vintage Wedding dress, I only had to make some minor changes to create a more modern wedding dress to fit the bride’s individual style.

This Jurassic Park Elopement reminded me that we can take anything we love as a couple and turn it into magic fit for the big day. So if you’re vigorously planning your wedding and start to get frustrated, ask yourself, is this resembling us as a couple? Or imagine Marie Kondo asking you, “does this bring you joy?”
You got this!
